Hunted wins entertainment, Nine and Seven tie for total share

Ten’s fresh reality format Hunted again topped entertainment programming last night, however the network’s total share fell behind Nine and Seven, who took equal lead share for the evening.

The episode brought in 569,000 metro viewers and also topped all three key advertising demographics.

Coming in second for entertainment was Seven’s The Chase Australia with 536,000 metro viewers, then The ABC Of on ABC, bringing in 444,000 metro viewers.

Next in entertainment was an episode of Home and Away on Seven, bringing in 444,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s ABBA vs Queen, with 414,000 metro viewers, then Beauty and the Geek on Nine with 409,000.

The Hot Seat on Nine had 405,000 metro viewers and Ten’s The Cheap Seats brought in metro viewers 396,000.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 12 July, Seven News was the top program nationally across linear, with 1.569 million viewers, including 41,000 on BVOD, and uplift of 3%. The program with the greatest uplift was The Good Doctor on Seven with an uplift of 67%, watched by 430,000 total TV viewers, and 49,000 on BVOD.

Meanwhile, Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 metro program on Monday with 924,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 918,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 812,000 metro viewers, and then Nine News at 6:30 with 794,000 viewers.

A Current Affair brought in 620,000 metro viewers, ABC News saw 590,000 tune in, and ABC’s 7:30 News had 474,000 viewers in all five major capital cities.

In terms of total share, Nine and Ten tied for top spot, both finishing with 25.8% network share ahead of Ten’s 20.6%, while ABC had a 16.6% share.
