Irish critics name Samson & Delilah best film of the year.
Warwick Thornton’s Samson & Delilah has been named Best Film of the year at the Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards.
The awards are part of the Dublin International Film Festival, which has just concluded. Other winners include Ivan Kavanagh’s The Fading Light as Best Irish Film, and His & Hers as Best Documentary.The jury included John Maguire (Sunday Business Post), Paul Lynch (Sunday Tribune), George Byrne (Evening Herald), Donald Clarke (Irish Times), Paul Whitington (Irish Independent), Declan Burke (Today FM) and DFCC president Tara Brady (Hot Press).
