Lovatts Media launches Mindful Parenting magazine

Lifestyle publisher Lovatts Media has launched another title in its collection of mindfulness magazines. Mindful Parenting joins Breathe, Teen Breathe and the Audrey Daybook in Lovatts’ suite of products.

Mindful Parenting will be available from July 1 in supermarkets and newsagents and is currently available to purchase online from Lovatts’ magazine store.

The magazine is aimed at helping readers slow down and take time for themselves, exploring five pillars – wellbeing, relationships, self-care, balance and joy.

It will feature editorial about easy self-care practices including yoga and meditation, building and nurturing relationships, exploring emotional intelligence and resilience, cultivating gratitude and embracing ‘imperfection’.

There are also joyful activities for both parents and children, like mindful colouring, memory making in the kitchen, and hands-on crafts for creating tangible keepsakes to treasure.

Contributors to Mindful Parenting will include Maggie Dent, Shevonne Hunt, Rebecca Sparrow, Amy Taylor-Kabbaz, Sarah Napthali and Cassandra Dunn.

Podcaster and Mindful Parenting contributor Hunt said the title will help parents find balance in their lives.

“Parenting is a tough gig. It’s wonderful, challenging and fulfilling but it can also test the limits of your resilience. Mindful Parenting is a beautifully crafted magazine, that can help parents find their own equilibrium,” said Hunt.

“The stories are heartfelt and genuinely helpful for anyone who is seeking more calm and steadiness in their parenting life. But really, I love writing for Mindful Parenting because I’m writing articles that I need to read myself.”

Mindful Parenting will follow the Lovatts Media model of only featuring a small selection of advertisers with values aligned to the brand.

“Lovatts Media’s ethos is to only recommend like-minded brands that we know, use and trust. We want to promote companies that share our collective belief in conscious and ethical living,” said Kirsty Tamplin, Lovatts Media senior account manager.

Lovatts Media CEO and publisher Rachael Northey said the brand strives to be at the forefront of wellbeing in the publishing space with its range of curated titles.

“As the world awakens to the benefits of living more consciously, Lovatts Media has been at the forefront of mindfulness and wellbeing publishing with titles such as Breathe Magazine Australia, Teen Breathe Magazine, Audrey Daybook, Nourish Plant-Based Living and Inklings,” said Northey.

“Our magazine titles are built on the idea of inspiring our readers to create their best lives. We know that Mindful Parenting will be a beautiful and gentle reminder to all those incredible parents out there to treat themselves more kindly.”
