Too many guys one girl, the media company edition
It’s six months almost to the day since Nine CEO Hugh Marks declared that “the days of the so-called boys’ club are long gone”.
And if anyone doubted the accuracy of that, then look no further than last night’s high-powered gathering of media CEOs in Canberra, there to tell PM Malcolm Turnbull and media minister Mitch Fifield about the laws they want changed.
While it would appear to Dr Mumbo that there are three times as many men whose name begins just with the letter M in the picture than there are women, he’s sure that the boys club is indeed well and truly over.
Could this be part of why traditional media seems irrelevant to modern audiences?
