Young: Promoted from digital boss to national sales director

TV and digital saleshouse MCN has announced it has promoted digital sales boss Nick Young to national sales director.

The move is part of a broader shake-up within the business which is now responsible for Foxtel and Ten’s sales, with MCN noting the promotion of Young, who has a digital rather than TV background a sign of its ongoing push to converge television and digital.

“With Nick’s appointment to a cross-platform position, we are reflecting our people resource with our tech resource,” said Mark Frain, MCN’s chief sales and marketing officer.

“With the industry moving to a single-source view on consumers and audience delivery, the unification of screens is the future of video and television trading, so we are reshaping our business to make sure we are ahead of the curve. ”

Other management changes within the business include Melbourne sales director, Ben Sumpter’s move to the role of national sales operations director and general manager, Melbourne.

Melina Augoustakis takes the role of Melbourne sales director while Paul MacGregor has been promoted to MCN’s national director – client solutions, marketing and productio, and Bohemia’s strategy director, David Cook, joins MCN in the newly created role of head of client solutions.
