People break free from their digital billboard prisons in OOH campaign from mortgage provider Athena

The latest campaign from mortgage provider, Athena, shows homeowners breaking free from being trapped inside digital billboards.

Created by The Royals, the campaign aims to convince people to switch to Athena’s service, which it claims “gets people out of their home loan faster and gives them a great experience along the way.”

The campaigns will be executed across transit, animated OOH digital screens, radio and digital.

The Royals won the creative account for Athena in December last year. The agency launched its first work for Athena in March, reminding Australians that “life’s too short for a long home loan”. The latest campaign is an extension of the brand platform ‘Love us and leave us’.

Athena chief marketing officer, Natalie Dinsdale, said in a statement: “Our research shows that two in five customers feel trapped by their home loan provider and over a third of customers feel ripped off.

“We wanted a campaign that motivated customers to take action, that tapped into that ever-growing discontent and said to customers that now is the time to break free and move to a lender that is truly on their side.”

The Royals deputy ECD, Sebastian Vizor, added: “Off the back of launching ‘Love us and leave us’, this campaign helps reinforce with Athena, Aussies no longer need to feel trapped by their mortgage as they can escape to something better.”

The campaign will also appear on public transport
