Seven drops air dates and teasers for post Olympics content line-up

With the Tokyo Olympics now well and truly underway, the Seven Network is slowly detailing its post Olympics content schedule with air dates for new and returning programs.

The latest to be announced is its new Australian drama RFDS, which will air on Wednesday, 11 August at 8.40pm, the same date competitor Network Ten’s parent company ViacomCBS launches its new streaming service Paramount+.

Filmed on location in and around Broken Hill, RFDS stars award-winning actors Stephen Peacocke (Home and Away, Wanted), Rob Collins (Mystery Road S2, Glitch) and acclaimed actors Emma Hamilton (Mr Selfridge, The Tudors), Justine Clarke (Tangle, Hungry Ghosts) and Ash Ricardo (Offspring, Bite Club).

RFDS is an Endemol Shine Banks production for the Seven Network, with investment from Seven in association with Screen Australia. It was financed with support from Screen NSW through the Made in NSW Fund and the Regional Filming Fund.

Seven also revealed today a first look at the upcoming series of SAS Australia, which will also air after the Tokyo Olympics, however exact times and dates for the program are yet to be detailed. The program last year drew 834,000 metro viewers for the opening and 737,000 metro viewers for the  finale.

Last week Network Seven announced 8 August as the launch date for The Voice Australia. This is the first season the program will air on Seven after being on the Nine Network for nine seasons.
