Fresh from yesterday’s PR triumph from Honda (the lawnmower that survived the bushfires), Dr Mumbo was delighted to see the brand kicking more goals by sponsoring Network Ten’s news-lookalike environment news.
Yes, it really is great to bring viewers news of a load of dead beached whales, with a prominent “Honda – The power of dreams” message on the screen.
Someone has to pay for all the aesthetically offensive clothes the Ch10 newsreaders wear…

My flatmate and I thought that 10 had found one very weak automotive story, then called Honda and said – “hey, you want in” – maybe the marketers at Honda should have asked “sure. love the faux news spot, just one question – any chance of telling us what other story will be aired” Im guessing Honda are just hoping nobody watched it….and I think they might just be correct.

worse still was their exploitation of the victorian bushfires. honda stated climate change was to blame for the fires in their ‘news story’, and then went on to spruik their intiatives to combat climate change. poor taste.
