Today the Brave expands team ahead of first birthday

Today the Brave has welcomed two new senior production and account hires, nudging the fledgling agency’s team to above 20 people as it approaches its first birthday.

The independent full-service agency first opened its doors in November last year, boasting a client list that included University of Sydney, AMP North, News Corp, Hoyts, and Mercury Capital. At the time, the agency’s founding partners, Jaimes Leggett, Celia Wallace, Jade Manning and Vince Osmond, said its was launched on the principle brave work growing brands, “through not only ambition but action”.

Cosmo Haskard and Kate Gregson are the latest to join the growing team, appointed as group business director and operations manager respectively.

Haskard returns to Australia for the role after several years at Toronto-based indie agency, Zulu Alpha Kilo. He brings more than a decade of experience across three continents, having worked for Adam&EveDDB and VMLY&R in London, after starting his career in the Australian market.

Haskard said he was “stoked” to be back in Australia and joining Today The Brave’s “exciting journey”. As group business director he will be responsible leading one of the agency’s account group.

“I’m motivated by their focus on people and by a place so full of creativity. I can’t wait to help this amazing team cut through the noise and uncover exciting growth opportunities for brands and businesses.”

Gregson joins the agency with 15 years of international experience at agencies across the UK, Australia and the US, including TBWA, Johannes Leonardo, Special Group and The Royals. In her capacity as operations manager leverage her skills across creative services, project management and production to support operations director Alistair Pratten.

Leggett commented: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Cosmo and Kate. Both are guns, but more importantly, are brilliant humans too.”

The new appointments come off the back of Today the Brave’s growing client roster, which now includes includes News Corp, Fetch TV, the University of Sydney, Carnival Cruise Lines, Zambrero, HOYTS, Mercury Capital and Coposit, amongst others.
