Yahoo!7 commercial director Damon Scarr to depart

Seven West’s joint venture digital arm Yahoo!7 is to lose its commercial director with Damon Scarr moving to Adobe, Mumbrella can reveal.

A Yahoo!7 spokesman confirmed the departure to Mumbrella: “Damon has been with us for eight year, since the inception of the joint venture, he has done amazing job and made an enormous contribution.”

The departure comes days after Seven West Media, which owns 50 per cent of Yahoo!7 in a joint venture with Yahoo, announced a $61.5m writedown in the book value of the digital publisher.

Yahoo!7 said there was no a replacement at the moment but it understood the recruitment process for a replacement has begun.

Another one down. IAB board of 12-18 mths ago almost completely replaced. Off the top of my head only Roebuck and Harrison are still there. Digital growing but not immune from disruption even as it disrupts everyone else.
