2Day FM launches new billboards to promote Em Rusciano and Harley Breen

Southern Cross Austereo’s 2Day FM launched its new campaign around Sydney to promote its breakfast radio program.

The campaign kicked off with billboards and outdoor advertising on buses and bus stops.

TV commercials for the 2Day FM breakfast show The Em Rusciano Radio Show with Harley Breen are set to commence next week.

In the third radio ratings survey of 2017, the pair lost one ratings point from the second survey, falling from 4.1% to 3.1% audience share.

Despite the ratings loss, Gemma Fordham, Hit Network’s head of content said the loss was due to Rusciano’s absence on air after suffering a miscarriage, and the network will recover.

Fordham also noted there had not been a comprehensive marketing push for the show, which could account for its slip.

“I’d also say, we’ve not marketed the show. We are about to launch an extensive marketing campaign from this weekend. We typically see certainly in markets like Sydney, where there is heavy marketing, those brands tend to perform, so we will be thrilled to get that out,” she said after the radio ratings came out.
