‘Great creative doesn’t have to be expensive, it just has to be smart’: John Driscoll and Steve Back launch new creative agency
Industry leaders, Steve Back and John Driscoll, have joined forces to launch a new creative agency, Monster Sauce.
The Perth-based agency brings together the pair’s decades of experience across the creative and marketing sectors, and has been set up to deliver big ideas with global reach.
“Our first campaign, due to be launched in the coming days, is an example of this, with the campaign being a genuine collaboration of some of the best talent from around the globe,” Back said.
Driscoll added: “Whenever a new agency emerges there are questions around its philosophy, ours is very simple… the right ingredients, well-crafted, producing great business results.”
Back, a well respected and awarded ECD, has worked across Australia, Asia, and the UK at various creative agencies, including Ogilvy Singapore where he was ECD, Ogilvy Australia where he was CCO, Saatchi & Saatchi Australia, BBC Creative, Weber Shandwick, Joy, DDB Group, and more.
Meanwhile, Driscoll spent nearly 30 years with Perth-based comms agency Marketforce, working with clients including HBF, Lotterywest, iiNet, Curtin University, Office of Road Safety, The West Australian, Brownes Dairy, Mirvac, Chicken Treat, City of Perth and Tourism WA. He also spent eight months as CEO of Seven WA, and has previously founded a media and marketing consultancy, Longreach.
Their wealth of experience working with a range of clients and brands has been described as one of the strongest features of the new agency.
“Our experience is probably our greatest strength in being able to make sense of complex marketing challenges and see pathways to get results for our clients quickly and effectively, across a wide range of disciplines,” Back explained.
“We believe that great creative doesn’t have to be expensive creative, it just has to be smart. And most importantly we have fun doing it!”
