Hamish and Andy tops podcast charts, Life Uncut loses significant downloads

LiSTNR/SCA’s Hamish & Andy has continued to hold on to the top spot of the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker for July, as it has done so for every month this year, barring January and February when it released no episodes.

The show tallied 942,784 monthly listeners across 4 new episodes, ahead of Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime, also a mainstay in the top two, which totaled 809,029 monthly listeners across five new episodes.

ARN’s Kyle & Jackie O dropped to number five down two spots with 342,071 listeners, while New Corp’s The Teacher’s Trial bumped up three spots to the third position, with a total of 462,057 monthly listeners across six new episodes.

Schwartz Media’s 7am bumped up three spots into the fourth position, with 433,434 monthly listeners across 22 new episodes.

Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne saw a significant drop – down eight spots to number 13, finishing on 232,614 monthly listeners across two new episodes.

It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield bumped up nine spots to the tenth position, finishing with 241,327 listeners across 8 new episodes.

In total, 16 of the top 100 podcasts were listed under the True Crime genre, with a further 24 listed as news podcasts.

Total podcast downloads dropped by 400,000 across July compared to June.

ARN/iHeartMedia was again the top publisher with 3,344,986 monthly listeners and 17.737,443 monthly downloads, followed by LiSTNR/SCA which came in the second spot with 2,936,367 listeners and 9,755,188 downloads.
