Jack Nimble founders to depart: ‘It’s the right time to take a break’
The co-founders of Jack Nimble, Angus Mullane and Adam Wise, have announced they will depart in the new year, marking the agency’s first major leadership change.
Founded in 2017, Jack Nimble quickly became known for its innovative storytelling, bold creative work, and efficient production models. The agency had a disruptive approach to creative and production, with a focus on making every second count, and that manifested through its work.
In 2021, it was acquired by Sparro (which has since been acquired by Brainlabs), and has grown from a team of eight to over 30, boasting a client list that includes American Express, Spotify, Netflix, The Benevolent Society, LinkedIn, eBay, ASICS, and the Leukaemia Foundation, among others.
Under Mullane and Wise’s leadership, the agency has received numerous accolades and award wins, including Emerging Agency of the Year and Specialist Agency of the Year at the 2020 Mumbrella Awards.
The founding duo have decided to leave the agency to pave the way for the next generation of leadership, and spend time with their families. To fill the leadership positions left behind, long-time employees James McInnes and Hayley Olsson have been promoted to managing partner and executive producer, respectively.

“Building Jack Nimble has been one of the most rewarding journeys of our lives,” Mullane said. “We’ve poured our hearts into creating something special, and after seven years, we feel it’s the right time to take a break and let the next generation of Nimblers like James and Hayley thrive.”
Wise continued: “We’re really proud of the niche that we found in the market. Staying true to that and finding amazing people, supportive partners like Sparro, and like-minded clients who believe in it as much as we do has been the key to our continued success.
“There’s still so much more to come from Jack Nimble, and we’re confident we’re leaving the business in very safe hands.”
McInnes and Olsson have been with the agency for a number of years, and in their new roles, will manage the day-to-day operations of the business. They will work closely with Sparro’s co-founders, Morris and Cameron Bryant, to guide the agency strategically.
As managing partner, McInnes will steer the agency in its next phase of growth, focusing on new business, brand reputation, and strengthening relationships with core clients.
Meanwhile, Olsson will oversee Jack Nimble’s growing production team and output.
The duo will be supported by group general manager, Hannah Jones, who will continue leading Jack Nimble and Sparro’s people and operations functions.
“Jack Nimble has made a huge impact on the industry under Adam and Angus’ leadership, so it’s an honour to step into this role and continue building on the foundation they’ve created,” McInnes said.
“The brand, the culture and the team they’ve built is second-to-none, so I’m confident that the future is incredibly bright.”
The agency recently launched a new offering, Nimble Creators, to facilitate a more collaborative influence experience for brands – treating creators as an extension of the agency’s team. Innovating in this space is just one example of its approach to creative and production, McInnes explained in August.
Cameron Bryant concluded: “We’re grateful to Adam and Angus for the incredible business they’ve worked hard to build. Morris and I look forward to seeing Jack Nimble grow in its next phase under James’ leadership and we’re glad that Sparro can be the solid foundation on which the agency can continue to grow.
“Jack Nimble’s unique blend of social-first creative and production capabilities are genuinely world-class, clients love their work, and we’re confident that the agency will continue to thrive in the future.”
Sparro has also recently made a senior promotion to support its growth trajectory and expansion plans. Sarah Davidson has moved up to a managing partner position, where she too will work closely with the Bryants.
Her appointment bookends a huge 2024 for the agency, which after being acquired by Brainlabs has grown its headcount and has won over 20 new clients – including Under Armour, as revealed by Mumbrella.
