Joanna McCarthy has joined financial services software company Rubik Financial in the newly created position of head of marketing and communications.

McCarthy is former head of communications for global consumer products giant Kimberly-Clark’s Australia & New Zealand operations and was most recently head of marketing with financial technology start-up, Decimal Software, having joined in March of last year.

Iain Dunstan CEO of Rubik commented on the appointment: “It’s great to be able to invest in our marketing and communications strategy with a dedicated, full-time resource in Joanna.

“Joanna brings with her a suite of skills that will be valuable in helping drive our business forward and she represents one of many great people hires we look forward to announcing in the coming quarter.”

McCarthy will report to Dunstan and will be responsible for all brand, digital, internal and external marketing and communications.

In recent years McCarthy has also held roles as global manager brand and content for QBE Insurance and general manager internal communications for NBN Co.
