‘Let our history shape your future’: University of New England launches new campaign via Engine Group

Ahead of its 70th anniversary next year, the University of New England (UNE) has launched a campaign highlighting its unique approach to tertiary education, via Brisbane-based creative agency Engine Group.

The campus’ distinctive regional experience is a huge selling point according to the university, so Engine Group tapped into this – celebrating its history, architecture, landscapes and collegiate atmosphere.

“Our alumni cohort, and our wider community across the New England, North West, and North Coast of NSW were top of mind in the development of this campaign – to clearly distinguish the atmosphere and experience offered at UNE Armidale, and recognise that we have something very special here,” said Anthony Smith, executive principal – brand, partnerships and business development, at UNE.

“UNE’s extensive history of 5 star ratings from the Good Universities Guide, which is unmatched by any other public university in Australia, also recognises that fact.

“The campaign line ‘Let Our History Shape Your Future’, developed by Engine alongside the UNE team, beautifully encapsulated the history narrative, while still sitting seamlessly within UNE’s future fit branding.”

The university’s 70th anniversary will be celebrated in the new year with a range of on-campus and community engagement events, aligning with the new campaign.

“This new local campaign beautifully complements the national campaign we developed for UNE’s online offer, through a powerful narrative and emotive cues,” concluded Tim Weger, managing director at Engine Group.

The campaign is rolling out across TV, cinema, OOH, digital and social.
