Masterchef on top as The Block and AGT deadlock
Masterchef won out in a competitive night’s television on Tuesday that also saw Australia’s Got Talent and The Block in a dead heat.
Masterchef – which featured an immunity challenge – rated 1.496m for Ten, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.
The Block on Nine and AGT on Seven both rated 1.373m.
(12.20pm update: Updated ratings based on more accurate running times of the shows shifts the outcome slightly with AGT coming out top, just ahead of Masterchef, and The Block fourth for the night. See below for the updated top 15.)
Seven’s drama Winners & Losers rated 1.211m.
Meanwhile, the EJ Whitten AFL legends game rated strongly for Nine in Melbourne where it was third for the night with 423,000 viewers. In Perth it was 14th and in Adelaide it was 12th.
In the mornings slot, Seven’s Sunrise (402,000) put a large gap between itself and Nine’s Today (291,000).
In what has become a relatively unusual occurrence, ten shows rated more than 1m viewers last night.
