M&C Saatchi hires former Optus marketer as group account director
M&C Saatchi has appointed former Optus marketer Vanessa Nicol to run the Optus business.
Nicol, who was most recently head of acquisition marketing at Virgin, joins as group account director.
Nicol fulfilled a number of roles at Optus, including national marketing manager of prepaid services, acquisition marketing manager at Optus Retail and Optus’ channel communications manager.
“People with the breadth and depth of Vanessa’s marketing experience in the telco space are very rare and we’re extremely pleased to have her on board,” said M&C’s group head of the Optus account and managing partner, Christine Gardner.
Nicol replaces Mark Timmins who moves internally to work on other M&C accounts.
