Ten statistics to mark 500 days of Mumbrella

Today marks 500 days of Mumbrella. I thought I’d share a few numbers.

  1. We’ve posted 3,619 items
  2. We’ve had 24,743 comments
  3. Our first named comment came from Bannerblog’s Ashley Ringrose.
  4. We’ve had 4.5m page views
  5. We’ve had 2.4m visits
  6. We’ve 10,283 followers on Twitter
  7. We’re number 28 in AdAge’s ranking of more than 1000 global marketing blogs
  8. Google has indexed the word Mumbrella 45,800 times
  9. We have 14,831 subscribers to our free daily email
  10. Our two YouTube channels – MumbrellaAus and TheMumboReport – have had their videos viewed a total of 511,236 times

On the day I launched Mumbrella, I wrote this:

“But one thing I’ve noticed is that whenever you go to a newish blog, the first posting is invariably rubbish. It usually makes a lame promise about what it’s going to be (invariably controversial and hard-hitting), and how often it will be updated (frequently). The original promise is very rarely kept. Often the site looks like the author never went back.

“So there will be no such grandiose claims here.”

Hopefully I didn’t over-promise too wildly.

Thanks for reading.
