Hi I don’t think I’ve ever heard a client say this (in 10 years of advertising). Why would a creative agency ever recommend the logo be small??
I’m wondering if its something that used to happen back in the day?
That said, I love the ingenuity of creating an app like this – it’s a clever and interesting way to promote the business.

Whingey creatives. If you don’t think the logo should be bigger, have the balls to say so and have a good rationale to back you up. Otherwise, you’re just a photoshop puppet so do what they want you to do.

I am working as a Marketing executive in one of the firm and I have seen the changes in the people perception. Few years back people use to remember the logo of the company , but they tend to remember the advertisement or the name of the firm.
I don’t think a bigger logo is of any help. It is rather annoying to use a bigger logo.

Poorly branded ads vastly outnumber well branded ads. Hence why most ads are shit. Misattribution or simply no clear branded call to action.
Make the logo bigger. Always. Look at McDonalds. They put a massive logo up on a 30 metre pole outside their restaurants. It works. There’s no other reason why brands exist except to be famous and well distributed.
