Former OgilvyOne Sydney creative Simon Bloomfield has joined MercerBell as Creative group head.

The announcement:

One of the industry’s most respected creatives, Simon Bloomfield has joined MercerBell as Creative Group Head.

Most recently at OgilvyOne Sydney as joint Creative Group Head on American Express, Bloomfield played a significant role in leading the account to awards success both locally and internationally. He was previously in leadership creative roles at Clemenger Proximity, Hyro and Euro RSCG.

“Someone of Simon’s immense experience is a rare find and we are thrilled to welcome him to the creative team,” said David Bell, Executive Creative Director at MercerBell.

Bloomfield will primarily head up the Toyota and MasterCard creative, and joins MercerBell immediately.

“I’ve known Nick and David for some time, and both have had an immeasurable influence on my career. I always had a feeling I’d work with them at some stage, and the chance to join them in a role such as this – where I can really contribute to the success of the agency – seemed like the perfect opportunity.
