The Chase Australia tops entertainment; Seven takes Thursday

Seven’s The Chase Australia won entertainment on Thursday, as the network also celebrated an overall network share win. This is the second Thursday in a row The Chase Australia has won entertainment. 

The episode aired to 535,000 people in all five major capital cities, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat that had 423,000 metro viewers, while The Dog House on Ten aired to 419,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 7 July, Seven News topped the list with 1.452 million Total TV viewers, including 38,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was True Colours – Simulcast on SBS, with an uplift of 122%, viewed by a total of 302,000 national viewers, and 95,000 on BVOD.

Next in Thursday’s programming, an episode of Home and Away had 404,000 metro viewers, followed by a late episode of the program that aired to 363,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 886,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 861,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 821,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 788,000 metro viewers. A Current Affair brought in 630,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC News which brought in 594,000. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 474,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Seven won the overall share for the evening with 28.5%, followed by Nine with 26%. Next was ABC, with 17.2% of the total share, just pipping Ten on 17.1%.
