#TVTwitter @encorelive – social media’s influence on content production

At next month’s EncoreLive conference, we debate Twitter’s impact on television production, speaking with TV makers and media commentators.

Curator:
Kym Druitt, publicist at PR agency Eck Factors.

Moderator:
Magdalena Roze (@Magdalena_Roze), meteorologist and presenter on the Weather Channel.

Panelists:
Amanda Collinge, series producer of Q&A, ABC’s political debate program. Live questioning via Twitter spurs debate from Australia’s loungerooms, while others are ‘taken as comments’. The show’s hashtag, #qanda is often a top trending topic worldwide.

Steven Murphy (@StMurphy), Communications manager, FremantleMedia Australia. Fremantle boasts success with Masterchef and Australia’s Got Talent, but Ben Elton Live From Planet Earth was quickly cancelled with the star partly blaming negative sentiment spread via Twitter.

Andrew Marlton (@firstdogonmoon), Crikey’s cartoonist of daily, First Dog on the Moon.

This EncoreLive session is part of the Mumbrella360 Conference, taking place at Hilton Hotel in Sydney over June 7 and 8.
