Zenith appoints Sarah Heitkamp as head of strategy and planning
Sarah Heitkamp has been promoted at Publicis’ Zenith, from Sydney strategy director to head of planning and strategy.
Heitkamp has been with Zenith since 2010, having joined as a strategic media planner in its Düsseldorf office. She has since worked across multiple Zenith offices, including a two year stint as Zenith’s global strategy director in its London office from June 2018 to January 2020.
She has worked with some of Zenith’s key clients, including Luxottica, Nomad Foods, and Coty.
Heitkamp is the latest in a string of recent appointments for Zenith. The Publicis-owned agency has recently appointed Jonny Cordony as Sydney managing director, Vikki Pearce as Melbourne head of digital, and Laura Boatman as Sydney head of digital in the past two months.
Zenith won SBS’ performance media account in January, expanding on its already held media strategy, planning and buying account with the media company.
Heitkamp’s appointment is effective immediately, reporting to Cordony.
On the appointment, Cordony said: “At Zenith, our purpose is to inspire growth for our clients and to solve for the now as well as for what’s next. We are very lucky to have Sarah leading this charge on the strategy front; she is an asset to our business and I am delighted to announce her promotion to this new role.”
Heitkamp said: “What we have seen throughout the last year is that outcome-based planning, agile partnerships and a deep understanding of what really matters to our clients are even more important than ever. Brands that leverage true human insights and connect them to a strategic solution that is realistic, practical and measurable will ultimately succeed.
Zenith’s client list in Australia includes Aldi, TikTok, The Walt Disney Company and The Y (formerly YMCA).
