Compass Global Markets signs naming rights deal with Blue Sox Sydney baseball team

Foreign exchange provider Compass Global Markets has become the naming rights sponsor of Sydney’s Blue Sox baseball team.

The announcement: 

Sydney baseball fans will notice something new about their beloved Blue Sox this season. For the first time in the six-year history of the new Australian Baseball League, the CompassMarkets.com Sydney Blue Sox have an exclusive naming rights sponsor.

The ABL and Compass Global Markets are proud to announce that Compass Global Markets has entered into a contract to serve as the exclusive naming rights sponsor of the league’s Sydney club.

The official foreign exchange provider of the ABL, Compass Global Markets has been involved with the ABL since December 2013 in this capacity. The new deal spans three years and will allow Compass Global Markets to directly interact with the Blue Sox faithfu through a variety of fan engagements, including in-stadium activities and sponsorship of foul balls at Blue Sox Stadium.

“It is our honour to have our longtime sponsor Compass Global Markets invest further into baseball by taking over the naming rights of the Blue Sox,” ABL General Manager Ben Foster said. “We’re happy to see this sponsorship agreement develop over time and look forward to continuing it in the coming seasons.”

Sydney has a longstanding tradition as one of the strongest sides in the new ABL. Along with Perth, the Blue Sox is the only ABL club to qualify for the playoffs in each of the first five seasons of the league. The team looks to continue this success in the upcoming 2015/16 season with the support of Compass Global Markets.
