Lion appoints 72 and Sunny to Tooheys Extra Dry account without pitch

Lion has appointed 72 and Sunny Sydney to the Tooheys Extra Dry creative account, without a pitch.

The appointment sees the agency’s remit across the Lion portfolio expand; 72 and Sunny also works across Little Creatures, Byron Bay Brewery and Kosciuszko Pale Ale.

72 and Sunny APAC’s partner and CEO, Chris Kay, said the agency’s first work for the Tooheys Extra Dry brand will launch in the coming months.

“We’re proud to work with Lion across a number of their brands, and having a chance to swing on the TED brand is pretty cool, and we can’t wait to see the work that is in production being launched in a few months’ time,” Kay said.

Just last week, the agency was appointed to the Golden Circle account by Kraft Heinz, and the week before, revealed a new brand identity for Infigen Energy after being appointed to the account in November last year. Also last month, the agency launched assets to support Chubb’s $10m COVID-19 relief fund.

2020 has also seen 72 and Sunny hire Luke Martin as head of product from BMF, and promote Whitney Hawthorn to head of delivery.
