1.07pm – A couple of big yarns this afternoon. Coca-Cola has a new marketing director Lisa Winn. Read about it here. While in other news Budget Direct has put its creative account out for pitch, although the brand is remaining cagey on the future for animated alien brand ambassadors Zeek and Zia. 11.48am – Complaints suggesting Menulog’s commercial which parodied Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper vilified and denigrated Christianity have been dismissed by the ad watchdog.

10:5am – It’s good to see Seven gets full value out of its costumes. This morning on Sunrise the team dressed in some Beatles Sgt Pepper getup to celebrate 50 years since the fab four toured Down Under, and now on The Morning Show they’ve recycled the rest of the costumes.\.

10:25am – TV ratings are in and it was another win for Seven as the Bali Bogans built their audience, although it’s not all rosy as the network has axed period drama A Place to Call Home.

10:03am – The most awarded creative director in the world for the last year Pat Baron has been made ECD of McCann Melbourne, as the agency looks to bolster its creative management to support John Mescall.

9:20am – Famed media jacker Ryan Holiday was in Sydney to present at Vivid last week. We caught up with him to talk about media manipulation, ethics, and why things haven’t gotten any better despite his revelations about it in a book two years ago.

8:48am – You might have read last week’s Answers for Adam which had Adam Ferrier saying beards make people look smarter, as do English accents. Now Adam’s sharing on Twitter some more helpful tips to make yourselves look cleverer.

8:24am – News.com.au has a roundup of which journalists have so far left Ten as part of its cost cutting, with stalwart John Hill, Mazoe Ford, Ben Lewis, Lachlan Kennedy and Emma Dallimore among those leaving.

8:07am – Morning all. We’ll start today with the latest round of sniping between Fairfax and News Corp. After Greg Hywood’s email on Monday afternoon it’s The Australian’s turn to hit back, with a piece quoting sources saying board members at Fairfax are “unhappy” with Hywood’s performance, a comment refuted by Fairfax as “utter garbage”.
