The nine teams battling it out in the Sydney Story Factory Teams Challenge have been revealed, with creative, experiential, digital and media agencies as well as a media owner, represented.
The competition, which is supported by Microsoft and has been facilitated with the help of media and marketing industry charity foundation UnLtd, challenges the teams to come up with an immersive storytelling solution to help explain what the charity does.
Teams comprise members from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, who have been tasked with solving a creative brief for the charity which helps give children struggling with their writing more confidence.
The teams are drawn from:
- Initiative (x2)
- MCN
- Maxus
- Marc Edwards Agency
- FivebyFive
- Apparent
- KH&P
- George P. Johnson
In partnership with Microsoft, the participants will be collaborating on Microsoft Teams to showcase the power of technology in fostering collaboration. Microsoft Teams is available for trial via this link.
The participants will submit their responses by April 21, with live judging by a panel on April 28.
The Sydney Story Factory is a not-for- profit creative writing centre which focuses on helping marginalised young people who are most at risk of losing confidence in their writing abilities and switching off at school.
It runs creative writing workshops and runs one-on- one mentoring sessions that light the spark of creativity, build skills, boost confidence and open up the future for thousands of children and teenagers every year.
After five successful years of operation from Redfern, they plan to open a new creative writing centre in Parramatta in May 2018.
