Pauline Dellit joins PR agency Flourish as head of creative

PR agency Flourish has appointed Pauline Dellit as its head of creative, with the aim of moving the agency away from a traditional PR model.

In February, the Melbourne-based PR agency appointed showbiz veteran Phil Ceberano as its first full-time creative director.

Dellit’s appointment reflects how the ‘traditional PR agency model is dead’

Dellit’s appointment aims to bolster the agency’s creative offering and will see Dellit lead the team’s creative studio.

She joins the PR agency from her previous role as a “key account director” at marketing agency Yoke. Prior to her five year stint at Yoke, Dellit was a design director at design agency Cassette.

“During my years in agency land, I’ve had the privilege of heading up a mixed bag of projects. Even though I’m a creative agency suit by trade, I’ll always be a storyteller at heart.

“I love design that is considered, and communicating the story that exists behind a piece of work that makes it beautiful and effective,” Dellit said in a statement.

Angela Ceberano, managing director at Flourish, added: “I have admired her work for years and have always been inspired by her creativity, leadership and work ethic. It’s extremely rare to find someone of Pauline’s ilk. Her vast experience and passion for her craft is what sets her apart.”

Ceberano said the appointment reflects the modern PR agency model.

“Gone are the days of huge production budgets and expensive distribution models.

“Each client now has the opportunity to be their own media outlet, which has created a massive opportunity for businesses.

“We understand – and celebrate – that the traditional PR agency model is dead. This is why we dropped ‘PR’ from our brand almost two years ago.”

Flourish’s clients include TEG, Human Nature, Guy Sebastian, One Wellington by LAS Group, Entity Health, Rabbit Hole Playcentre, Austin Health, Olivia Newton John, Lifestyle Communities, Real Madrid, VidCon, Kaplan Institute, Riverina Fresh and Collins House.
