Poem retains the PR account for Place Management NSW

Poem has retained the public relations account for Sydney’s The Rocks and Darling Harbour as part of the NSW Government’s Place Management division.

Poem first won the account in 2017 and has retained it following a competitive pitch. Its remit covers earned and influencer channels with a focus on driving visitation to the precincts.

The relationship will run for two years.

Kylie Doulman, director of precinct activation and customer experience at Place Management NSW, said Poem is proactive, flexible and effective.

“We are excited to see how our plans for The Rocks and Darling Harbour evolve with Poem’s ongoing counsel and expertise. We’ve come a long way together in the last three years in helping to change perceptions of The Rocks and Darling Harbour.

“It’s a particularly challenging climate for the travel and hospitality industries right now, so we appreciate having agency partners that can be flexible, proactive and above all drive effective comms for our retailers,” Doulman said.

Rob Lowe, Poem co-founder and managing director, said: “We really value the relationship we have with the team at Place Management as well as the relationships we’ve developed with retailers in each of the respective precincts. We’ve really seen a shift in the last three years in Sydneysiders moving back to these areas, so our focus is to keep building on this momentum and reignite local love by earning a place in people’s lives.”

In May, Place Management NSW expanded its relationship with White Grey following a competitive pitch. White Grey is now its lead creative and strategic agency.

Recently, Poem has won the PR accounts for Shop Back, Seedlip and Audika.
