Vodafone’s little blue credit demons brought to life in experiential push
Vodafone has launched an experiential element to its ‘kill your credit demons’ campaign that broke last month.
Devised by TKM9, the execution sees the campaign’s little blue monsters projected on to buildings and appear in augmented reality pods.

TKM9 was handed the project through Vodafone’s media agency, Ikon Communications.
Mark Hodgens, TKM9’s MD, said: “It’s not just about creating a clever campaign and hoping it sticks; it’s about using technology to connect with the right audience in ways that will really move them.”
TKM9 was the agency that projected videos on to buildings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for Peroni.
Telco’s can say what they want. If their product is broken then their marketing efforts (no matter how effective) will not be heard.
If I were Vodafone I would concentrate everything on giving it’s mobile phone users a signal. Once they have achieved this, then go back to marketing…
Perhaps once fixed the marketing effort could be an apology..?
Product first. Marketing 2nd. (Business 101.)
(Look at Tiger Airlines – their product is not performing…) you can’t sell tickets if the flights are grounded, same applies to Telco’s…)

Vodafone are investing $1 billion to fix and improve it’s network. I would say that’s a significant amount of effort / investment.

I find that these corporate projection campaigns are very offensive to the public…

@ comment 5.
Vodafone is being singled out because their clients are not getting a signal.
Telstra is by far the most expensive, however what comes with that price is a signal(.)
Optus are in between, however they certainly offer a lot better coverage than Vodafone.
Our firm uses Telstra. A BDM from their office managed to swing our MD to move to Vodafone. Within a month we were back to Telstra with our tail between our legs. our phones and our internet cards with Vodafone were appalling.
Why is the brand Vodafail uttered by folk when they discuss their crap Vodafone coverage?
Blimey, let’s hope the 1 billion sorts out their signal issues! Then it will actually be a worthwhile experience sponsoring the cricket and throwing money at everyone…
