Wella appoints Mango as PR agency of record

Professional hair colour brand Wella has appointed Mango Sydney and Mango Auckland as its public relations agency of record.

Following a competitive pitch process Mango will deliver services for the brand including communications planning, creative, public relations, experiential, sponsorship and digital.

Matthew Foster, commercial director at Coty Professional Beauty ANZ, said in a statement: “We went to market in both countries to find the best agencies and didn’t expect to find one agency that could deliver against our complex brief; Wella needs an agile partner with expertise in generating cut through with stand-out strategy and creativity.”

Emma Wright, brand manager at Wella ANZ, said: “Our new partner needed to be able to deliver PR services including media and influencer engagement, work with our stylists and ambassadors, leverage existing and new partnerships, and above all, be the right fit for Wella, reflecting our core beliefs and values.”

Tabitha Fairbairn, managing director at Mango Sydney, said the new partnership with Wella was a “significant” new business win.

Adidas, Coles, Unilever, Volkswagen, St John Ambulance and Dairy Australia are all clients of Mango.
