Atomic 212 wins media account for container deposit not-for-profit, Exchange for Change

Not-for-profit Exchange for Change, which manages container deposit schemes across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, has appointed Atomic 212 as its media agency.

The independent media agency will take charge of media strategy, planning and buying for the NSW Return and Earn and ACT Container Deposit schemes.

The appointment follows several wins and reappointments last year for the agency, including Bupa Australia, Greater Bank, Spirit of Tasmania, 2020 Parrtjima: A Festival of Light, Tourism Northern Territory and Northern Territory Government, and Charles Darwin University.

Atomic 212’s chief digital officer and partner James Dixon noted the damage plastic is doing to the environment.

“Every year, more than 160 million drink containers are littered in NSW alone, damaging our environment and waterways,” he said.

“It is a serious issue and we’re honoured to be given the opportunity to work with Exchange For Change to build awareness of the environmental benefit of – and the financial incentive in –returning containers.”

The Exchange for Change not-for-profit is a joint venture between Asahi, Carlton and United Breweries, Coca-Cola, Cooper Brewery and Lion.
