In one of the biggest jumps ever seen in the market, the trio, who are syndicated across Nova, won drive with a share of 19.2%, more than eclipsing the previous number one show, Hit 105’s Hamish and Andy, who lost the top slot despite a 0.2 point increase to 14.9%.

The result was a triumphant return to the top for the Nova show in Brisbane after losing its lead to Hit in the previous survey.

Nova’s surge was also present in breakfast with Ash Bradman, Kip Wightman and David Lutteral finally gaining traction after a slow start to the year, up 2.1 points to seize the lead from Hit 105’s team of Stav, Abby and Matt with Osher.

After deciding to dump host Robin Bailey at the end of last year, the woes for  ARN’s 97.3FM continued in survey two, with Bailey’s new breakfast team at Triple M, Greg Martin and Ed Kavalee, eclipsing her former employer with a share of 12.3% to snare second place.

97.3FM dropped 1.1 points, finishing with a share of 12.2% and moving back to third place.

The drive and breakfast results catapulted Nova into the number on slot overall with the station surging ahead of both former number one 97.3FM and Hit 105 with a rise of 2.8 points and a total share of 13.8%.

Hit lifted 0.3% to a 11.5% share while 97.3FM’s breakfast loss was replicated in the all audience figures, down 1.1 points to 11.4.

On AM ABC Brisbane  was up 0.6 points overall to a share of 9.8%, while in breakfast the station recorded a share of 13%, up 1.1 points.
