Shane Jacobson fronts IGA’s 2021 Christmas ad

The latest 2021 Christmas campaign has been released and it is for IGA’s via The Core Agency.

Titled ‘There’s a place for Christmas’ the campaign is fronted by actor and comedian Shane Jacobson, who also fronted IGA’s ‘Thank You’ April campaign.

In the 30-second spot, Jacobson shows how IGA provides for Christmas, including carrots for Rudolph. The spot also shows a masked IGA employee, a nod to COVID, helping customers, before going home and falling asleep on the couch.

The Core Agency founder and creative partner Christian Finucane said: “There’s a place that goes above and beyond to help you have a cracking Christmas – your local IGA. Our new campaign tells that heart-warming story, and it’s one that locals across Australia can relate to.”

The campaign launches today, 10 November, and is on TV.

Other Christmas campaigns that have been launched include IGA’s supermarket competitors Coles and Woolworths, as well as Australia Post, Myer, BWSBest&LessBig WMichael Hill Jeweller and Kmart.
