Cara Mygind exits Uber as head of local comms after just four months

Uber Australia and New Zealand’s head of communications, Cara Mygind, has departed the company after just four months, Mumbrella can reveal.

Mygind joined the ride-sharing service in January this year from her previous role as Air New Zealand’s manager of communications and PR.

Taking the helm of Uber’s communications, Mygind replaced Katie Curran, who exited Uber in December to join Amazon as its head of communications.

Last year Uber pitched its creative account in April, awarding the account to Special Group one month later.

While in December, Uber awarded its public relations account to Sling & Stone.

Uber and Mygind have been approached for comment.
