Melbourne agency Merchantwise Creative rebrands as Three Scoops

Twenty-year-old Melbourne-based agency Merchantwise Creative has rebranded as Three Scoops after its parent company was broken up.

The creative agency, headed by Andros Georgiades, was previously part of the intellectual property firm Merchantwise Licensing, but has since relaunched under its own brand following the company’s break-up.

The agency will now operate as a subsidy of Merchantwise Group, which monetises characters and brands owned by studios such as Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount and Sony.

Made up of 30 people, Three Scoops has additional offices in Lebanon and Paris and handles clients such as Disney, Gumbuya World and Diageo.

Speaking about the rebrand, founder and creative director Andros Georgiades said the name choice was intended to reflect the agency’s three global offices.

He said: “We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved but we wanted to find a name and brand that better reflects who we are and where we’re going. Something that captures our individuality and creativity, the services we offer and the love we bring to our work every day.”

Recently, the agency released a new campaign for beef jerky company Jack Links as the brand looks to expand its footprint in Australia.

Aimed at promoting the brand’s use of New Zealand beef, the 30-second television commercial features two Kiwi cows discussing their friend Bridget, who has mysteriously gone on a trip to Australia.

After one of the cows wistfully declares, “I wish I could go to Australia”, his friend replies “One day bro… one day”, as the logo for Jack Links’ beef jerky pops up.
