Hoozu launches AI driven platform to help advertisers create short form ads

Influencer and content agency Hoozu have released an online platform, Hoozu Connect, to help marketers create short form ads.

The announcement:

HOOZU CONNECT: THE FUTURE OF ADVERTISING IS JUST SEVEN SECONDS

HOOZU LAUNCHES NEW AI PLATFORM TO HELP ADVERTISERS OPTIMISE SHORT VIDEO AD CREATION

Data-driven content creation business, Hoozu has launched a marketing platform to disrupt traditional branded content production, media delivery, and ad optimisation.

Hoozu Connect is a proprietary platform that engages professional creators, influencers or customers to produce made-for-mobile short-form branded videos, that are used as ad placements. The ads feed directly into advertisers Facebook Business Manager accounts providing a bank of refreshable video ad creative which are continuously optimised for customer conversion and boosted by the brand.

Hoozu Connect targets creators to produce on-brief 7-15 second branded video ad creative. These videos are used as “in feed” media ad placements. When ad performance drops, Hoozu Connect automatically swaps in new pre-approved videos to keep media fully optimised preventing ad fatigue occuring, and performance continuously running at optimum levels.

Following today’s launch, Hoozu Connect is adding AI element tagging across all short-form produced content. This will feed back to the creators through an automated chatbot with the key elements and ingredients needed in their video to ensure content is perpetually improving.

With Mark Zuckerbeg revealing late last year , Facebook is looking to work closely with their advertising clients to learn and create vertical video ads that fit stories for them.  There is an undersupply of short form video content that brands can use and boost as ad creative. Hoozu Connect acts as an automated solution that uses many different agile creators (with fresh ideas) to produce short, sharp, fresh, targeted branded content.

Identifying that almost half (47%) of a video’s value is delivered in the first three seconds, the platform enforces video production best practices i.e. displaying the brand and product in the first 3 seconds, producing for muted audiences on all content pieces.

Nathan Ruff, CEO at Hoozu said there is a strong demand for short-form branded content both from advertisers and social and video platforms.

“We created Hoozu Connect to offer brands a cost-efficient way to produce a variety agile produced  authentic refreshable short sharpvideo creative, they can use to drive frequency and reach. Boosting the content with audience targeting through social  platforms, we’ve seen over 8x better ROI than one size fits all produced content. With the decrease in online audiences attention spans and increase in ad avoidance, short-form video is becoming a very valuable for advertisers to gain cut through”, said Ruff.

In thinking about what is next for Hoozu Connect, Ruff said “feeding through to creators at briefing stage data insights on what they need to include to make the content perform better is a powerful tool. This ensures Hoozu Connect creates better content, that keeps getting better.” said Ruff. “Moving forward we are looking at integrating into multiple ad manager platforms as short-form video translates across different social and video channels, as well as DOOH”.

How it works

Hoozu Connect’s process is simple and effective.

  1. Set up a media campaign through Facebook
  2. Brands Log in https://connect.hoozu.com/ with Facebook account
  3. Advertisers submit brief
  4. Hoozu Connect identifies best suited Hoozu creators and briefs them
  5. Creators then produce 7-10 second video variations for approval, or alternatively, studio produced video assets can be loaded directly into their Hoozu Connect account.
  6. Brand views, accepts or reject video submissions . When approved, videos are automatically fed into the brand’s media campaigns via Facebook Ad Manager
  7. When the advertising or content performance drops, new videos from new creators are automatically swapped in.

AI functionality in Hoozu Connect

  1. Element tagging tracks content performance
  2. All learnings are communicated back through a centralised chat bot to creators, when responding to new briefs.
  3. With guidance creators produce short form video variations for approval, or assets are loaded directly
  4. Content  provided to brands for approval
  5. Data tracked to performance including what is in the video, how it performed and what is needed to make the next one perform better.
  6. The cycle is then repeated and ensuring content is continuously refined and optimised
