TEDxMelbourne to feature ‘rebels, revolutionaries and us’ in 2017 line up

This year’s TEDxMelbourne will be the largest TEDxMelbourne ever and will fan the flames of revolution with its 2017 theme of  ‘Rebels, Revolutionaries and Us’!

To be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday, 19 September 2017, the event will feature some captivating thinkers and doers. Those who have taken the path less-travelled, embraced controversy, challenged themselves and others not only to dream of a better world, but act to change it.  Through remarkable storytelling, attendees will step into the shoes of these leaders who have dreamed and lived boldly.

In addition to the headline speakers the TEDxMelbourne program includes performers and food from some top Melbourne Chefs, to add extra value and enjoyment on the day.

These initiatives are typical of organiser Jon Yeo and his team who have strengthened the format and content of the day year after year to such success. The Melbourne event even featured in a global TEDx video campaign earlier this year https://blog-ted-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/blog.ted.com/video-watch-how-five-tedx-organizers-share-an-idea-around-the-world/amp/

Dr Martin’s research is funded by both the Australian Institute of Criminology and the National Health and Medical Research Council. He is also a founding member of the Cryptomarkets Research Hub, a transnational network facilitating scholarly collaboration and research into the darknet drugs trade.
