Cricket Australia and Apparent release dynamic KFC BBL campaign
Cricket Australia and indie agency, Apparent, have released a campaign developed to turn up the excitement for the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) this summer.
The ‘All the Feels’ campaign acts as an extension of the sporting body’s ‘Feel Alive’ initiative.
It uses a 30-second TV spot that takes viewers into the stadium as cricketers engage in high-energy games, and the crowd cheers amidst pyrotechnics, live music, and light shows. The film also revolves around a single tagline proclaimed by talent within the spot, “I’ve got a good feeling”.
The film was directed by Ethan McLean and produced by Accordion Productions. Cricket fans can also expect to see “a large-scale outdoor and digital asset rollout”, with images captured by Sam I Am and Billy Plummer.
“We’re bringing fans and players closer than ever before. The campaign doesn’t just show what it’s like to be there, it captures the excitement of how it feels,” said Apparent’s executive creative director, Michelle Turchini.
“With over 900,000 people attending last season and eight sold out matches, we are looking forward to welcoming more fans to experience the BBL,” added Cricket Australia’s head of brand and marketing, Teresa Basile.
“It’s not just about watching, it’s about feeling the excitement firsthand. We can’t wait for fans to experience every thrilling moment this season!”
Launching on November 17, 2024, ‘All the Feels’ will play on social, press, out-of-home (OOH) and TVC channels.
The campaign’s launch comes after Cricket Australia worked with creative agency, Special, to release its ‘You Need To See It’ platform in early October.
