Interbrand Melbourne staffs up
Interbrand’s Melbourne office now has 15 staff following a number of additions.
The announcement:
Following continued growth and success, during a period where some competitors have been experiencing contrasting fortunes, leading brand consultancy Interbrand is proud to announce a significant expansion of the Melbourne office with the appointment of a suite of designers, strategists and creative directors.
With extensive international experience, most notably for her role as senior designer in establishing Elmwood’s Melbourne office, Sue Mould joins the Melbourne team as Design Director. Sue’s first project will be developing the brand identity for the Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane.
Supporting Sue in the execution of this work, Interbrand welcome Drew Coughlan and Robert Farrelly who between them have over a decade of experience working across an impressive portfolio of national and international clients such as Procter & Gamble, Department of Human Services, Film Victoria, Bord Gais and The Abbey Theatre.
General Manager, Andy Wright, says the extension of the team not only furthers the company’s creative offering but continues to bolster the culture that’s become inherent to its success.
“We’ve had a great first half of 2011 and the team is growing rapidly, whilst the competition have experienced some challenges. Sue is someone whose work we have admired for some time and we’re very excited that she’s joined us from Elmwood,” Wright says.
“We’re creating a very high performing, creative culture here at the moment and recent additions like Sue, Robert and Drew are exactly the types of hires we’re looking for,” he adds.
Overseeing the work of Interbrand’s newest recruits is Jake Smallman, having recently been appointed to Creative Director of the Melbourne office after 12 months with the company.
With an expansion of numbers also filtering through the strategic team, Interbrand welcomes Jef Van Acoleyen who joins the team having recently completed his MBA at Melbourne Business School after roles with private equity firm, Fortis.
Already forming strategic and creative relationships with clients such as Origin Energy, Realestate.com.au and Brisbane Marketing, newer projects like the Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane further boast the Melbourne office’s reputation in line with the significant growth being achieved in Sydney.
