Opera House launches Big Moments campaign
Sydney Opera House has rolled out an outdoor campaign with JC Decaux allowing the public to use digital screens to explore big moments in the story of the building.
The touch screen panels in Sydney’s Pitt Street, Martin Place and Circular Quay allow users to explore big moments shared by former visitors. The Opera House is also running a campaign on its Facebook page to ask the public to share their memories.
Victorias Doidge, director of marketing and communications at the Opera House, said: “We believe that the most powerful way to engage consumers is to get them to tell their personal brand story. The Big Moments campaign simply affords our community the opportunity to celebrate their Big Moment at the House via a combination of outdoor, mobile and social platforms.”

Digital experience agency Pixolut also partnered on the campaign.
The launch comes ahead of tomorrow’s JC Decaux Connectivity Lab at the Opera House.
It’s a mystery to me what this is supposed to achieve.
As I understand it the main issue for the Opera House is getting more people to go to events there. Specifically Opera Australia and their continued challenge with finding a balance between commercial realities of trying to find new consumers and what their core patrons want to see.
