Flash Forward fades but Seven still wins the TV ratings night

Seven pipped Nine to the top spot last night in the TV ratings, though the latter led the field on a network share basis.  

Seven News was the most watched show with just over 1.4m viewers, while Nine News came in 10th with just under 1.1m, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.

Other Seven shows in the top ten included Today Tonight, Highway Patrol, Home and Away and Destroyed in Seconds. Seven took a schannel hare of 27.1%, compared to Nine’s 26.8%.

However, viewers to Seven’s US sci-fi drama FlashForward continued to slide, with only just over 1m viewers, compared to last week’s 1.2m. The show faield to make the top ten.

Nine’s The Apprentice enjoyed a slight increase in viewers from last week’s 747,000, to 841,000 last night. Two and Half Men in the 7pm and 7:30pm slots continued to do well for Nine.

Ten had a poor night, with a channel share of just 16.9%

  • Nine: 26.8%
  • Ten: 16.9%
  • ABC1: 15.1%
  • SBS1 7.5%
  • GO!: 2.0%
  • ABC2: 1.8%
  • 7TWO: 1.4%
  • ONE: 1.0%
  • SBS2: 0.2%

In network share, Nine’s share was 28.8% to Seven’s 28.5% while Ten was on 16.9%
