Back to the Future: who spoofed it better?
It probably hasn’t escaped your attention that Back to the Future fans have been getting a little overexcited at the fact Wednesday is the date Marty McFly and Doc Brown travelled into to the future in the second film.
When the film was released, back in 1985 it promised flying cars, self tying shows and hoverboards.
Sadly our 2015 reality is a bit more disappointing… as a number of media outlets have been keen to point out.
Like this one from The Huffington Post:
Back To The Future Vs. Reality
Hey future, why are we still tying our own shoes?

The question really is who spoofed it best?
Although for Dr Mumbo’s money it’s hard to go past this new ad for Toyota’s Mirai hydrogen-powered cars which reunites Marty and Doc (aka Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd) and where they talk about the predictions made in the movie and also ask the important question for 2015: who still uses fax?
You’re referring to Back to the Future II which was released in 1989 not 1985.

And I am pretty sure your movie screenshot is from the wrong movie. BTTFII time machine dashboard displays an evening time for ‘present time’.
Regardless, as the movie was based in a USA town you would still need to convert it to AEST 🙂
