Daily Mail Australia promotes from Mi9 for new commercial director role

The Daily Mail Australia has beefed up its sales presence in the market promoting Mason Rook to the new role of commercial director from joint venture partner Mi9.

Peter Holder, Managing Director of Daily Mail Australia, today announced the appointment of Mason Rook to the newly created position of Commercial Director.

Rook, currently the Sydney Sales Director for Mi9 Media, will be responsible for the sales strategy, commercialisation and sales approach of Daily Mail Australia. Leading the Daily Mail Australia sales team, Rook will work closely with the Mi9 Media team to represent the brand in the Australian market.

Peter Holder said: “I am delighted to welcome Mason to Daily Mail Australia. His digital expertise and knowledge of the Australian market is a real asset for us. We look forward to him leading our commercial charge as the fastest growing media business in the country.”

Rook started his media career with the Seven Network before a nine year tenure with ninemsn and Mi9 where he held various roles within the commercial team, most recently as Sydney Sales Director for Mi9.

Rook will transition to the new role from mid-May.
