Guide Dogs grab motorists attention with Beatles inspired campaign

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT has launched a national campaign ‘Watch Out, Cane About’ to raise awareness amongst motorists of the need for watching out for blind or vision impaired people near roads.

The campaign features Beatles-inspired artwork to catch motorists’ attention. The artwork, created by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Marketing & Communications Manager Charles Ulm and Lisa O’Sullivan, is based on the 1969 Beatles Abbey Road album cover as it was “determined as a recognisable and iconic image when it comes to crossing the road.”

The campaign launched nationally in conjunction with International White Cane Day.

The artwork is supported by PR, TV and radio community service announcements and a video highlight ‘Dos & Don’ts’ tips for motorists, produced by Louder Than Words.
