Headspace searches for Melbourne agency after DraftFCB closure

Youth depression charity Headspace is hunting for a new ad agency following the closure of DraftFCB Melbourne.

In a statement, the charity said it was “disappointed” by the closure of its agency, which it credited with having done some “brilliant” work on the brand.

DraftFCB closed following the loss of key client Honda earlier this week.

Headspace media advisor Carly Wright said: “We’ve been working with Draftfcb over the past 18 months to develop our national awareness campaign that talks to 12 – 25 year olds about mental health and wellbeing issues affecting them. The campaign was launched in April this year with an extremely positive response.”

“We’re now looking for a new agency in Melbourne to work with us on the second phase of this national campaign. The next stage includes developing the existing creative for different mediums and tailoring it to a range of audiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, parents and culturally and linguistically diverse audiences,” she said.

“Being a not-for-profit organisation, headspace is looking for an agency that’s willing to work collaboratively and is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of young people across Australia.”

One of the most notable recently campaigns by DraftFCB for Headspace came in the form of a boxing style initiative that ran in universities, shopping centres and bus stops.
