Hello Kitty in shocking pink ad blast
The arrival of Japanese pre-adolescent fashion behemoth Hello Kitty in the stores of Target has been followed by ad campaign, which includes the branding of Melbourne trams in trademark shocking Hello Kitty pink.
Melbourne’s trains have installed hot pink Hello Kitty ‘celeb’ quizzes to appeal to commuting tweens, while hot pink animated digital screen ads have been used at outdoor sites across Melbourne.
As part of the campaign, the brand has launched a Hello Kitty Australia Facebook page.
The arrival of Hello Kitty in Target stores is a result of a deal with Haven Licensing. The deal will see Hello Kitty nursery, ladies sleepwear, tween and young adult fashion ranges, accessories, books, toys, health and beauty and stationery stocked in Target.
Hello Kitty is soooo 2002.
