How to add a bit of ‘bling bling’ to your dog’s teeth

This ad for Pedigree has just about the right amount of ‘awww’ factor for anyone who vaguely likes animals.

The ad, created by TBWA\Chiat\Day, brings attention to the serious issue of gum disease among dogs – asking owners, ‘why not buy doggie dentures?’.

The tongue-in-cheek ad was launched in the US to promote Pedigree’s oral-care treat, Dentastix. But as one blogger has pointed out, the best bit of this campaign is the application which allows people to upload a photo of their dog, install one of six denture designs on offer – from ‘bling bling’ to ‘bookworm’, add a bit of audio and send around via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Dr Mumbo also wonders if the web application will work on photos of any type of animal… say friends or work colleagues perhaps?

  2. Hmmm, voice over sounds eerily X-Fileish?

  4. exactly what I thought @longtime!

Fun app! Sadly it keeps beeping out half of what write for the audio part. Although I have just fooled their filter by adding an o or y to end of each expletive.

    Ah it’s the little things…
