IGA celebrates Australia Day with ‘Say G’Day Day’ campaign

G'day DayIGA has launched its Australia Day campaign that aims to encourage shoppers to go in store and say ‘G’day’.

The ‘Say G’day Day’ campaign is supported with the release of a modern version of ‘G’day G’day’ made famous by Slim Dusty.

Metcash Food & Grocery general manager marketing Michele Teague said in a statement: “As the Independent Grocers of Australia, IGA retailers want to give back to our customers this Australia Day.

“By resurrecting the household classic, ‘G’day G’day’ we want to celebrate everything that is great about being Australian, encouraging the whole country to sing along 2014.”

The integrated campaign is supported by Adshel outdoor-advertising and across IGA social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The IGA website is hosting a dedicated Australia Day section where customers can find “G’day recipes”, products and offers.

Customers are encouraged to download and share Vienna People’s free track in celebration of Australia Day which is available to stream and download until April 19 on the IGA website.
